To setup your Doane account profile: Go to https://www.doane.edu/myaccount. If you are a new; student, faculty, or staff - you will need to complete the New User Set Up option first. The next page will ask you for your Doane User ID and hit continue. Then select Authenticate with E-mail and choose the non-Doane e-mail listed and click Send Pin. When you receive your PIN CODE enter it the in space provided and continue. You will now select 4 challenge questions and answers. After you create your four challenge questions navigate back to https://www.doane.edu/myaccount and under the “Password Reset” section, click on Go to Reset Tool. Enter your Doane Username and click continue. Select "Authenticate With Challenge Questions" Note: Should you decide to change your password, you will need to use PASSWORD REQUIREMENTS: Your password must meet all of the following requirements
- Uppercase letters (A-Z)
- Lowercase letters (a-z)
- Numeric characters (0-9)
- Non-alphabetic character (ie. !, $, #, %, *)
- No three letters can match as they appear in your User ID. Example: john.doe can not use a password containing joh in that order.

Doane User ID:
Your key to most university resources is your User ID. It consists of two parts: your user name and a password. Your user name will be formatted as firstname.lastname (e.g. thomas.doane) Your password will be what you created with the ReAct Password Management Tool.
Remember! Treat this information like you would your most prized possession! This User ID allows access to systems containing YOUR information and it should be kept confidential! Systems that use your User ID include: Doane email, Netfiles, WebAdvisor, Lab machines and Canvas.
On your mobile device: Connect to the “Doane” wireless network then open your browser (Safari, Google, etc) and go to doane.edu — register your device and then you’ll be good to go! On your PC or Mac: Go to Wi-Fi networks, choose “Doane” wireless network, then open your browser and go to doane.edu — register your device and you’ll be online!
Doane University provides each student one wired port in their dorm room in addition to their wireless access. This network is known as ResNet. We do have certain restrictions on how you can use our network outlined in the Appropriate Use Policy accessible online at doane.edu/faq/acceptable-use-policy.

All computers should have an antivirus program to help protect against pieces of software that can hijack your information. Doane uses Microsoft Security Essentials or Microsoft Defender to protect our machines. These programs come standard on most Windows machines, but can be downloaded for free at: http://microsoft.com/en-us/safety/pc-security/microsoft-security-essentials.aspx. We also recommend Malwarebytes available at: http://malwarebytes.com We also recommend protecting yourself with Doane’s e2Campus safety alerts at: https://www.doane.edu/students/campus/safety/resources
