Anna E.J. Flores

Class of '19, College of Arts and Sciences

Anna E.J. Flores  ’19, Lincoln, was a featured speaker at the Plattsmouth TeamMates Event.  Flores gave testimony about growing up in Crete in a difficult family situation.  Her middle school physical education teacher became her TeamMates mentor and helped her gain confidence as a teenager.  Flores now serves as a training and match support specialist at the organization’s Omaha Office. She knew serving in this position would fulfill the need to give back to the community.

Dennis D. Nelsen

Class of '66, College of Arts and Sciences

Dennis D. Nelsen ’66, Crete, will be inducted into the Lloyd and Trudy Reeves Alumni Hall of Fame at Crete High School on March 27, 2020.  Nelsen taught Crete junior and senior high school English, Social Studies, Physical Education and German and served as basketball coach.  He continued coaching at Doane and for the Madonna wheelchair basketball team.
