Audrey R. Wondercheck ’15, ’18E, Newman Grove, has joined West Holt Public Schools, teaching 8th grade science, physical science, anatomy and physiology. Wondercheck will also serve as the junior high volleyball and junior high track coach.

Jacob E. Leuenberger ’11, ’16E, Syracuse, is a science teacher at Nebraska City High School.

Breanna Fye McDonald

Class of '16, College of Arts and Sciences

Breanna Fye McDonald ’16, Phillips, is the first recipient of the Dr. E. Eugene Miller Legacy Scholarship. The family of Dr. Gene Miller created an annual scholarship fund to invest in the students of Grand Island by investing in the quality of their educators. This fund will offer a scholarship to a Grand Island Public School educator who is pursuing postgraduate level coursework to advance their professional development as a teacher, counselor or administrator. Breanna is a kindergarten teacher with Grand Island Public Schools and is pursuing a degree in Educational Leadership at Doane University.

Katlyn M. Rosas ’16, Bridgeport, has been appointed to 4-H assistant and office manager at the Morrill County Nebraska extension office.

Kayleigh A. Schadwinkel

Class of '16, College of Arts and Sciences

Kayleigh A. Schadwinkel ’16, Crete, is owner/operator of POYDS Dance Company, LLC and opened a studio in downtown Crete. Schadwinkel also performs traveling choreography all across Nebraska and Wyoming.

Jessica L. Shultis

Lincoln, Nebraska

Jessica was crowned Miss Nebraska 2018 in June, and competed in the Miss America 2019 pageant on September 9, 2018. Shultis placed in the top 10 at the Miss America pageant.
