Nikki Scism Piper

Nikki and her spouse, Ben, welcomed their daughter, Maelee Margaret on July 8th. She joins siblings Brynlee and Ryker. Nikki is an Instructor of Practice in Education at Doane and is working toward her Ed.D.

Michael L. Railsback ’08, Roca, Michael  and his spouse Sarah welcomed their son, Barrett Miles on May 4th. Barrett is also being welcomed by his older sister, Piper.
John C. Thayer

Yankton, S.D.,  John has been named the play-by-play announcer for the University of South Dakota – Vermillion Coyote Football and Men’s Basketball Teams. Thayer previously served 7 years as an announcer for the Women’s Basketball team.
Trevor J. Torpin

Silver Springs, Md. Trevor earned his Doctorate of Philosophy in Physics in 2019 from Catholic University of America, located in Washington D.C. Torpin holds the position of senior professional staff at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.

Lincoln, Philip was the May recipient of Channel 10/11 Golden Apple Award. Philip is a Band Instructor at Milford Public Schools. Â

Fremont, Seth McClain will be an assistant principal at Fremont Public Schools effective on July 1. McClain previously served as the head football coach for Fremont High School.

Astoria, N.Y., Chet is a d3/disguise programmer for The Lehman Triology Broadway at the Nederlander Theater in New York City.
Joel A. Bramhall
Class of '10, College of Arts and Sciences
Lincoln,  Joel is the new director for the Cardinal Community Learning Centers (CCLC) for Crete Public Schools.
Tanner N. Penrod
Class of '11, Master of Education
Tanner is the principal at Southeast High School in Lincoln, replacing Brent Toalson, who is retiring. Penrod has served as the principal at the Bryan Community Focus Program since 2016. Prior to that appointment, he was an associate principal at Lincoln High School and has been an instructional coordinator at Bryan and a coordinator for the summer school program at North Star High School. Penrod is currently pursing his educational specialist certification from Doane.
