Days of Service Contact: Andrew Brown andrew.brown1@doane.edu Are one-time service-learning opportunities that connect Doane students with nonprofit organizations within the State of Nebraska. Experiences range from 1 - 2 hours once a month at various times throughout the academic year.  Community N/A
Mobile Food Pantry Contact: Andrew Brown andrew.brown1@doane.edu The Mobile Food Pantry is a partnership with the Food Bank of Lincoln and is free and open to Doane students, faculty, staff and community members who are in need of hunger-relief. Pantries are held once a month on the third Tuesday from Noon - 1pm within Butler Gym at Doane. Volunteers are needed from 11am - 1pm to help unload the van and distribute food to participants.   Hunger N/A
Community Dinner Contact: Andrew Brown andrew.brown1@doane.edu The community dinner is a partnership with the United Church of Christ and is free and open to Doane students, faculty, staff and community members who are in need of hunger-relief. Dinners are held once a month on the fourth Wednesday from 5pm - 6pm during the academic year at United Church of Christ in Crete.  Volunteers are needed from 4pm - 6pm to help cook and distribute food to participants.  Hunger N/A
Back 2 School Drive Contact: Andrew Brown andrew.brown1@doane.edu Offers an opportunity for our campus and community to provide all Crete Elementary and Intermediate school classrooms with much-needed school supplies.  Education NA
Blood Drive Contact: Kelly Jirovec Kelly.jirovec@doane.edu The Blood Drive is a partnership with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank and is opened to Doane students, faculty, staff and community members to donate blood. The event occurs twice in the fall and spring semester from 10am - 4pm at Doane University.   Health N/A
Angel Tree Contact: Psych/Soc Club Jocelyn.King@doane.edu The Angel Tree program is a partnership with the Salvation Army and offers the opportunity for Doane students, faculty, staff and community members to purchase a holiday gift for children and families across Saline County. Donation collections for individual children and family gifts occur throughout the month of November and early December every academic year in the Lower Level of the Perry Campus Center at Doane University.  Community N/A
Relay For Life Contact: Kalie Horky (Chair) Kalie.Horky@doane.edu Relay For Life is the signature fundraising event at Doane and is a partnership with the American Cancer Society. Funds raised through the event support cancer survivors through free rides to chemo, free lodging during hospital visits and a 24/7 cancer help line.  Health Click here to make a donation
