The 27th annual Doane University Fall Festival of Winds will take place in an ONLINE format on Saturday, October 31, 2020. Because of COVID-19 and the cancellation of nearly every music event, we will offer an online alternate experience for you and your students in lieu of an in-person, face-to-face event. There were multiple factors that went into this decision including what Doane University and your schools would allow us to do. Given the tremendous uncertainty, organizing an online alternative is probably in everyone’s best interest.
Our Featured Guests will be:
Dr. Ray E. Cramer, Director of Bands Emeritus at Indiana University in Bloomington
Patrick Sheridan, Artist/Teacher Conductor and Co-Author of “The Breathing Gym”
Dr. Larry Blocher, Dean of the College of Fine and Performing Arts at Troy University
Dr. Frank C. Tracz, Director of Bands at Kansas State University
Dr. Alexander Wimmer, Associate Director of Bands
Students will receive instrument clinics with our Doane University applied instrumental faculty and a few additional professionals for both young and more advanced high school musicians. They will also have the opportunity to work with Patrick Sheridan.
Saturday, October 31, 2020 Schedule:
