Education is one of the most important, and possibly the first, big investment of your life. Spend some time researching scholarships as they can be a big factor in financing your years at college.

Your academic scholarship amount and GPA maintenance requirements are tied to the semester you started at Doane.

ASCO Numatics Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an engineering discipline at an accredited U.S. educational institution and be entering their junior or senior year of college.

Applications must be submitted through their website

Winning participants are not eligible to apply for future ASCO scholarships

Federal Direct PLUS (Parent) Loan Varies (Up to Cost of Attendance)

Parents who do not have adverse credit history may borrow for their dependent student. Applications are approved by the Federal Direct Loan Origination Center based on a credit check.

Apply for the FAFSA and complete Direct PLUS Loan Request and Master Promissory Note here

Begins after the loan is fully disbursed. Deferment options are available. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for further information.

Teacher Education Assistance for College Higher Education Grant (TEACH) Maximum Award: up to $3,736/yr

NOTE: You must contact the Financial Aid Office prior to applying for the TEACH Grant to determine if you qualify for the TEACH grant by your ACT percentile score or current Doane GPA.

Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant Maximum Award $5,550

An undergraduate student whose parent or guardian was a member of the U.S. Armed Forces and died as a result of service performed in Iraq or Afghanistan after September 11, 2001.

Federal Pell Grant

Awarded to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need.

Apply for the FAFSA.

2 full-time semesters or 4 full-time terms per academic year

Federal Direct Subsidized & Unsubsidized Stafford Loans Determined by FAFSA and grade level.

Subsidized Stafford loans are available to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need and are enrolled at least half-time.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) Maximum Award $3,500

Awarded to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s degree and demonstrate exceptional financial need (Pell Grant eligible). Funding is limited.

Lincoln Education Association Retired Scholarship

This scholarship is for graduates of any Lincoln, Nebraska public high school who will be student teaching in the fall 2019 through spring 2020.

Merrill Scholarship $3,000 per year for students starting during the 2019-20 academic year.

For transfer students. 24+ hours of college credit and 3.0+ cumulative college GPA

Visit Grant Up to $1,000 renewable for four years while at Doane.

Awarded to admitted applicants who complete an official on-campus visit during their senior year.
