College of Professional Studies
This program prepares students to advance their career by building professional skills and knowledge that healthcare employers desire such as critical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, healthcare policy, and information literacy. Employment of healthcare occupations is projected to grow 18 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 2.4 million new jobs.
The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences is for students who want to grow a career in the healthcare field, including professionals who have earned an associate degree and wish to advance their current healthcare careers to the next level. Some students are also preparing for graduate or professional programs such as chiropractic programs, physical or occupational therapy, healthcare informatics, athletic training, or healthcare administration.

Health educators teach people about behaviors that promote wellness. They develop and implement strategies to improve the health of individuals and communities. Community health workers collect data and discuss health concerns with members of specific populations or communities.

Community health workers assist individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors. They conduct outreach for medical personnel or health organizations to implement programs in the community that promote, maintain, and improve individual and community health.
Medical Office Manager

Medical office managers perform secretarial duties using specific knowledge of medical terminology and hospital, clinic, or laboratory procedures. Duties may include scheduling appointments, billing patients, and compiling and recording medical charts, reports, and correspondence.
