    • 6:30-7:30 p.m. Into Focus: Indigenous Storytelling (ONLINE) Francene Blythe Lewis '00 shares her journey as a non-traditional Doane student making the journey from theatre to Indigenous storytelling and programming at the Smithsonian, National Geographic and now back to Lincoln for Vision Maker Media.       • 4:30-5:30 p.m. Alumni Roundtable - Linda Mann  (ONLINE) Alumni are encouraged to join former Communication Studies faculty member, Communication Studies chair, and Doane's first female Vice President of Academic Affairs, Linda Mann, for an evening of stories and insight. Linda was a staple on the Crete campus from 1983-1993 and she is looking forward to hearing about how the lessons learned in class have been applied to your personal and professional life.         • 1 p.m. Capital Alumni Chapter Golf Tournament (Crete) Fore! The Capital Alumni Chapter will host their annual 4-person scramble golf tournament at College Heights Country Club. $60/person and mulligans are (2) for $10. Box lunch included. Registration starts at noon. Shotgun start at 1pm. Max of nine teams and 36 players. Part of the proceeds will be contributed to an endowed scholarship fund for Doane students.
        • 4:30 p.m. A Vision Becomes Reality: Creating the first African American Golf EXPO and Forum (ONLINE) Finding one’s niche in an $84 billion golf industry may seem like a daunting task. But Doane alum James Beatty ’70 is pursuing ways to help people navigate the course by hosting the first-ever African American Golf EXPO and Forum. Hear more about this mission to grow the game, business, industry, and careers in golf. Jim will be speaking about his experience at Doane, relationships that took him to the next level and how he got started shining the light on African Americans involved in a sport not known for its diversity.         • 6 p.m. Thomas On the Town (Crete) Thomas the Tiger will be touring Crete neighborhoods with President Carter, bringing Doane school spirit to the front door of local fans. Thomas the Tiger's travels begin in the early evening and will make his way around Crete's streets using this route! Fans are encouraged to decorate sidewalks and driveways, wear your Doane gear and use #DoaneHomecoming on social media to post photos of the event.         • 11 a.m. Doane Virtual Tailgate (ONLINE) You may not be able to physically attend Doane games this fall, but you still have the chance to host your own Doane Virtual Tailgate ! Fans who register their Zoom virtual tailgate will have the chance of meeting a past or present coach, a former student-athlete, or even Thomas the Tiger in their video conference. Check out the Doane Virtual Tailgate  page for a minute-by-minute play of tailgate events and to learn more about Top Secret prizes delivered directly to host homes. #DoaneVirtualTailgate of the Game announced at 1 p.m.
        • 12 p.m. Mixology 101 (ONLINE) It's 12 o'clock somewhere! During the Doane Virtual Tailgate, Doane Alum Benton Alexander '07, a second-level sommelier, will offer a guided step-by-step Facebook LIVE demonstration of two top-notch cocktails for Tiger Alumni that are 21 and over. The demonstration will be brought to you from the brand new Lincoln distillery Sideshow Spirits . Viewable on the Doane University Alumni Facebook page .
        • 12:30 p.m. Virtual Kolache Baking Demonstration (ONLINE) There's a trick to the trade and Sandra Znamencek Koll, Doane's Director of Advancement Data Services, will provide a modern take on kolache baking. Joined by her daughter Matilda, making her debut as the 2020-2021 Wilber Czech Princess, they will share a time-honored tradition of baking kolaches with the soft dough and sweet filling so many Tigers remember from their time at Doane. The kolache demonstration will be viewable on Facebook LIVE from the Doane University Alumni Facebook page . Questions welcome!
        • 1 p.m. Doane Tiger Football vs Dakota Wesleyan University (ONLINE) Spread out the snacks, kick up your feet, and relax from the week as you enjoy Tiger Football from the comforts of your own home. The Doane Athletic spectator plan  allows for 4 immediate family members per player at the actual game and pep band members, but News Channel Nebraska will be streaming the game LIVE  from the gridiron. The alumni pep band will not be meeting this year.
        • 1-3 p.m. Student Viewing Party (Crete) Students are invited to join us in Cassel Theatre with a blackout theme and yard games. Sodexo will be serving hotdogs and hamburgers to get everyone in the fall sports mood on Lakeside Patio. During halftime, the Homecoming Duke and Duchess will be announced as well as winners of the banners, shields and social media giveaway. Don't miss it!         • 6 p.m. Doane Tiger Soccer vs Morningside College (ONLINE) Get your kicks by watching the Doane Tigers take on the Morningside Mustangs.         • 3-4 p.m. Alumni Roundtable - Debra Solomon Khouri '71 (ONLINE) Alumni are encouraged to join former Martin Investment Club advisor Debra Solomon Khouri for a roundtable discussion. Debra was a key mentor for over 20 years while helping students learn the basics of the stock market, investing, and personal finance.
