Nick Iwata

Iwata ’19 named Fulbright Scholar

Nick Iwata, who recently graduated from Doane University, will be an English Teaching Assistant in Bulgaria for the 2019-20 academic year, continuing Doane's storied past of producing Fulbright Scholars. After Iwata completes his time in Bulgaria, he will begin medical school at Lake Erie College in the Fall of 2020.

Streff ’13E receives prestigious Milken Educator Award

Rebecca Streff, a 2013 Doane graduate of the Master's of Education in Educational Leadership program, was the only educator in Nebraska this year to receive the prestigious Milken Educator Award. Widely recognized as the “Oscars of Teaching,” Milken Educator Awards recognizes top educators around the country with a $25,000 prize and a membership in the National Milken Educator Network, an elite group of more than 2,700 top teachers, principals, and specialists dedicated to strengthening education.
