Measure 2: Satisfaction of Employers and Stakeholder Involvement
STAKEHOLDER INVOLVEMENT
Doane University Initial Programs Engage P-12 Partner groups in a variety of collaborative partnerships. P-12 partners develop agreements with Doane Educator Preparation Programs to support clinical experiences for candidates. P-12 partners also engage in annual assessment/advisory meetings with initial program directors and faculty. The primary focus of the advisory meeting for the initial program is looking at completer data from Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) 1st and 3rd years surveys. In addition, new assessments are reviewed along with existing selected assessment data from various other instruments the program uses to assess candidates. For example, the initial program dispositions instrument is a current focus to receive feedback on and initial assessment data of that instrument.
SATISFACTION OF EMPLOYERS
Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) administers the Nebraska First Year Teacher Survey and Third Year Survey both to the principals and to the first year teachers (Spring 2022). Evaluation indicators are based on Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) Model Core Teaching Standards, 2011.
2021-2022 Survey 1st Year Teacher Survey by Principals
Doane University response rates: First year teacher survey by principals: 67%
