    • 2-5 p.m. Lincoln Children's Zoo Family Event (Lincoln) Join other Doane Alumni where the wild things are and let the good times ROAR at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo! Families are welcome! Free admission, door prizes, face painting available, and more!
    Monday, September 27                                                                                                                                                 
    • 4:30 - 6 p.m. A Night of Networking (Crete) Students interested in internships and/or fulltime job opportunities are encouraged to attend and meet with various employers! This event will be in person in Nyrop Hall within Perry Campus Center. Sponsored by Career, Leadership, and Service. Email career@doane.edu with any questions.
    • 6 - 8 p.m. Homecoming Kickoff (Crete) Students are encouraged to help kick off Homecoming Week at an outdoor event in Cassel Theatre featuring food, carnival games, Homecoming t-shirt giveaways, and more! This event is hosted by the Student Programming Board (SPB).

    • 7 p.m. Doane's Hoopfest (Crete) Doane students will take on Doane faculty/staff, a 3-point contest will be held, prizes will be given away, and more in this night of fun and basketball! Hosted by the Doane Athletics Office and the Tiger Men's & Women's Basketball teams.
    • 9 p.m. Cornhole Tournament (Crete) Students are encouraged to head to Haddix for a fun and engaging competition of cornhole! Hosted by SPB.
    Wednesday, September 29                                                                                                                                                 
    • 5 p.m. Tiger Women's Soccer (Crete) Come out to Al Papik Field to watch the Doane Women's Soccer team take on the Chargers of (RV) Briar Cliff University.
    • 7:15 p.m. Tiger Men's Soccer (Crete) Come out to Al Papik Field to watch the Doane Men's Soccer team take on the Chargers of (RV) Briar Cliff University.
    • 7:30 p.m. Tiger Women's Volleyball (Crete) Come out to Haddix to watch the Tiger Volleyball team take on the Lancers of Mount Marty University.
    • 9 - 11 p.m. Country Dance: Swing/Line Dancing (Crete) Students are invited to kick up their heels—or boots, if you will—for an evening of country music (as well as other genres) in Haddix. Participate in (or learn for the first time!) swing and country line dances and take a ride on a mechanical bull. Hosted by SPB. 
    Thursday, September 30                                                                                                                                                 
    • 6 - 7:30 p.m. Campus Parade (Crete) Student groups, as well as Crete community businesses, are invited to create floats to display in a mini-parade near Communications Parking Lot (as well as through campus?). Enjoy live music, live performances from various groups, and more! The second annual Community Spirit Award will be presented to a dedicated member (or members) of the Crete/Doane community. Hosted by SPB in conjunction with the Alumni Office.
    • 7:30 p.m. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (Crete) Head to Whitcomb Lee Conservatory, where Doane's Theatre Department presents a play by Simon Stephens, based on the novel by Mark Haddon. Fifteen-year-old Christopher is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched, and he distrusts strangers. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor’s dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit, which leads to an earth-shattering discovery and a journey that will change his life forever.       • 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. Faculty Art Show (Crete) Stop by the Rall Art Gallery over in the Communications Building to take in "What's Left?", an exhibition by William Truran, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design.
      • 9 a.m. Visit a Liberal Arts Class (Crete) Find out what it's like to take a class at Doane in 2021! A few classes are available, but space in each is limited so register soon!
      • 10:15 a.m. Campus Tours (Crete) Don't miss your opportunity to hear a brief university update and take a guided tour of some of your favorite spots on campus... or to discover NEW favorites along the way! (Walking and riding tours will both be available.)
      • 11:30 a.m. Half-Century Club Luncheon (Classes of 1970, '71 and earlier) (Crete) Join Doane Alumni from the Class of 1970, '71, and earlier for our annual Half-Century Club Luncheon. 
      • 12 p.m. Doane Choir Open Rehearsal (Crete) Doane alumni (especially Doane Choir alumni!) are invited to attend an open rehearsal of the Doane Choir in the Communications Building.
      • 1 p.m. Visit a Liberal Arts Class (Crete) Find out what it's like to take a class at Doane in 2021! A few classes are available, but space in each is limited so register soon!
      • 1 - 4 p.m. Benne Memorial Museum (Downtown Crete) Check out the Doane and Crete memorabilia on display at the Benne Memorial Museum, Crete Heritage Society. Located at 800 West 13th Street, the building is just east of the Tuxedo Park entrance. The collections are very interesting and will bring back lots of memories. During the afternoon, the museum will run digital shows featuring Crete and Doane history. A new featured exhibit includes an original wooden Tiger Inn booth from Doane, complete with the graffiti carving that made our student union furnishings so “unique!” Did no one ever get into trouble for this?!?
      • 2 - 4 p.m. DEI Open House (Crete) Join the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for an open house! Hear from members of the team, meet students assisting the program, and more! Taking place in the Nexus Center, lower-level of Perry Campus Center.
      • 2 - 4 p.m. Doane Archives Collection of Reunion Year Artifacts (Crete) Stop by the Doane Learning Commons (Library) to view various memories from your reunion class's time on campus! 
      • 4 p.m. Doane Concert Band Open Rehearsal (Crete) Doane alumni (especially Band alumni!) are invited to attend an open rehearsal for the Doane Concert Band in the Communications Building.
      • 4 - 6 p.m. Doane Volleyball Open Practice (Crete) Alumni (especially Volleyball alumni!) are more than welcome to attend the Tiger Volleyball team's practice inside of Haddix!
      • 4 - 8 p.m. FAC At Spring Creek (Crete) Join Doane alumni, reunion classes, employees, and friends for an FAC gathering at Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center. $10 entry fee at the door per guest. Enjoy light appetizers, grab a drink, and relax after the workweek ends. Class Reunions of 1960 & ’61, 1970 & ’71, 1980 & ’81, 1990 & ’91, 2000 & ’01, and 2010 & ’11 are all invited to attend, as is anyone else.

    • 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Doane Archives Collection of Reunion Year Artifacts (Crete) Stop by the Hospitality Room in the upper-level of Perry Campus Center to view various memories from your reunion class's time on campus!

    • 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Boswell Observatory Open House (Crete) Be one of the first to tour the historic Boswell Observatory during its re-opening over Homecoming weekend. The building, which had been used in recent years as the home of the President's Office, contains many historic artifacts from Doane's past. Dr. David Clevette and historian Janet Jeffries will be present to explain and share fun facts with our alumni and visitors.
    • 9 a.m. Alumni Softball Game (Crete) Softball alumni are invited to participate in an alumni softball game with/against current Tiger Softball players over at the Ledon Softball Complex.
    • 9 a.m. Alumni Men's Basketball Game (Crete) Men's basketball alumni are invited to participate in a basketball game with/against current Tiger Men's Basketball players inside of Haddix.
    • 9:30 a.m. 50th Reunion Continental Breakfast & Class Picture (Classes of 1970, ’71, and earlier) (Crete) Mingle with fellow members of the 50-year Reunion (and earlier) classes during a light breakfast option inside of Doane's South Dining Room (inside of Perry Campus Center).
    • 10 a.m. Alumni Baseball Gathering (Crete) Baseball alumni are invited to hear from and interact with current Tiger Baseball players and coaches at the Ledon Baseball Complex.
    • 10 a.m. Alumni Women's Basketball Game (Crete) Women's basketball alumni are invited to participate in a basketball game with/against current Tiger Women's Basketball players inside of Haddix. 
    • 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tiger Tailgate (Crete) It's a party in the parking lot! Enjoy reuniting with old friends and meeting new ones. Food trucks and food stations will be set up. Enjoy appearances by the Doane Alumni Concert Band, Tiger Cheer and Dance teams. The Doane Alumni Office will have a table set up, the College of Education will be set up, and other student/campus groups will be represented as well. You don't want to miss this annual tradition! The following are the rules for the tailgate area
      • The parking lot opens up at 8 AM for tailgate spots. First come, first serve. Any vehicles left in the parking lot overnight will be towed.
      • Alcohol possession and consumption are restricted to those 21 years of age and older in this designated tailgating area. 
      • No kegs or glass bottles.
      • Tailgates cannot take up more than 2 spaces.
      • West Entrance/Exit and all driving lanes between spaces must stay clear in case of emergency. Do not park any vehicles in this area.
      • Safety will be on patrol in these areas to make sure there are no underage drinkers and everyone is acting responsibly and respectfully.
      • Doane's tailgate will go from 11 am-2 pm. Everyone will need to leave the tailgate parking lot area no later than 6 pm.

    • 11:30 a.m. Class Reunion Gatherings (Crete) Tiger alumni who are celebrating their reunion years are invited to head to the Tailgate in the Communications parking lot to celebrate alongside their classmates!
    • 11:30 a.m. Campus Tours (Crete) Don't miss your opportunity to hear a brief university update and take a guided tour of some of your favorite spots on campus... or to discover NEW favorites along the way! (Walking and riding tours will both be available.)
    • 1 p.m. Doane Tiger Football vs the University of Jamestown Jimmies (Crete) Head from the tailgate into Al Papik Field for the Homecoming football game! Cheer on your Tigers, listen to the Doane Alumni Band, celebrate the Homecoming Royalty Duke & Duchess and take in an Alumni Dance routine at halftime, and so much more. LET'S GO DOANE! 
    • 5 p.m. Class Reunion Dinners (1960 & ’61, 1970 & ’71, 1980 &  ’81, 1990 & ’91, 2000 & ’01, 2010 & ’11) (Crete) Members of our reunion classes are invited to stay on campus to grab a meal exclusively for them in Nyrop Hall (lower level of Perry Campus Center), or they're welcome to head downtown to grab a meal at Elle's on Main. Individual Reunion Gatherings to follow should the classes decide to keep celebrating! 
    • 6:30 - 8 p.m. Harvest Moon Cruise Night (part of the Crete Pumpkin Festival) (Downtown Crete) Crete's Chamber of Commerce and sponsor Money Smarts present this downtown Crete event, which is part of the City of Crete's annual Great Pumpkin Festival.

    • 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Crete's Great Pumpkin Festival (Downtown Crete) Starting with a Great Pumpkin Blitz on Main Street and including other events that include: carnival games, a pumpkin pie eating contest, hayrack rides, petting zoo, a food court, performances by POYDS, Crete's Gold Star Martial Arts, and much more...it will be a day full of entertainment, food, and games in downtown Crete!     • 10 - 11:30 a.m. President's Reception for Alumni Awards Recipients and the Classes of 1970 & ’71 (Crete) Recipients of this year's Alumni Awards and their families, as well as our half-century reunion members, are invited to a reception hosted by Doane's 13th president, Dr. Roger Hughes ’82 inside the Welcome Center of the Chab Weyers Education and  Hixson Lied Art Building.
    • 12 p.m. Alumni Awards Banquet (Crete) Recipients of this year's Alumni Awards include: Tracy Agena Pella ’07, ’10C, recipient of the Young Alumni Award; Nathan Woods ’18L, recipient of the Paul Kersenbrock Humanitarian Award; Eric Cantrell ’00, recipient of the Exceptional Service Award; Bernice Jeffries ’60 (posthumously awarded), recipient of the Platt Music Award; Patrick Moore ’03, ’07E, ’11E, ’18E, recipient of the Educator of the Year Award; James Beatty, Jr. ’70, recipient of the Honor D Award; and Pat ’79 and Ellen Holstein ’80 Beans, recipients of the Doane Builder Award.
    • 3 p.m. Homecoming Concert (Crete) Homecoming is a special time on the Doane campus, as many alumni return to enjoy a weekend of events, including this concert.
