The College of Education and Alumni Engagement Office will be hosting a Celebration of Learning: Education Reunion in the summer of 2022!

Join us Saturday, June 4, 2022 (RESCHEDULED from Summer 2021) for a full day of educational sessions hosted by you, our education alumni.

This rare, special event is the perfect chance for you to network with those that have experienced Nebraska's greatest College of Education for educators, administrators and counselors! There's no better opportunity to share what's going on in YOUR classroom or school while also learning from your Doane peers.

Lead a Session!

Do you have a great idea for a session or want to showcase a particular area of expertise? Is there an experience that you or your district has had that could benefit your peers and help advance education? Each session is an hour long, and you will be asked to provide an overview of your topic in an interactive way. Multiple proposals may be submitted by the same presenter.

Submissions are requested by February 15, 2022.

Criteria for reviewing proposals include:
1) Relevance of topic
2) Quality and clarity of the proposal
3) Implications or applications for needs and interests of the audience
4) Organization and clear method of presentation

All of our guests are VIP, to be honest. But you can especially look forward to seeing these current and former faculty members (more to come):

  • Dr. Lyn Forester
  • Dr. Frank Daniels

Share This Event With Your Friends!

The best part of our reunion is that you can plan in advance with your education friends/colleagues to attend together! Let them know by text, email, or Facebook (an event is set up on the Doane University Alumni page, which you should follow!) that you're attending.

Volunteer to contact other alumni within your era by emailing

We regret to inform you that this summer's planned Celebration of Learning: Education Reunion has been POSTPONED until June 4, 2022

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainties that it presents, the Alumni Office and College of Education have made the difficult (but necessary) decision to postpone our previously scheduled Education Reunion until next summer.

We have been in contact with the scheduled session presenters and special guests, and most have agreed to speak with our alumni guests next summer instead. We thank them for their willingness to participate, understanding, and flexibility.

Anyone who has previously registered for the event originally scheduled for this summer on June 6th will be reimbursed in full.

We will send out new notices, scheduling, and information in the late-winter or early spring of next year.

In the meantime, be sure to follow Doane Alumni on Facebook, where we'll be posting information about several upcoming Education Reunion Virtual Happy Hour events in the near future. We'd love to have you join us!

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to reuniting with so many of you online soon and in-person next summer. We hope you're staying healthy and safe.
