College of Arts and Sciences
From your first semester in the Media Communication program, you'll learn how to gather news, investigate hard-hitting stories, cover live events, shoot and edit video, gather and edit audio and even host a radio show.
At Doane University, we prefer hands-on learning. As a Media Communication major, you will have a chance to be published in the Owl, our weekly student newspaper. You will have the opportunity to be an online storyteller, posting video or print stories on Doaneline, the student-produced website. You'll learn the ins and outs of radion as a DJ, music director, or promotions manager. Photographers, writers and graphic designers can also submit to 1014 Magazine; a feature magazine published once a semester.
